    About

I loved the look of the jacket and the pattern said it would be a quick knit. Which it would have been except the second colour of wool took a while to arrive! I also found that the circular needle I had bought wasn't the right length and I then ordered double pointed needles to use instead; much easier and I would do this another time. I loved the fact that - as it was knit down from the neckline - there were no seams to sew! Fantastic!

    Pattern

    Needles & Hooks

    • Single Point 5.50mm (US 9)
    • Double Point 5.50mm (US 9)

    Accessories

    • Buttons
Other : The wooden buttons looked great with the colours I had chosen but cost more than the wool!!!!

    Measurements

    Chest: 21 in

Notes: I made the body slightly longer as Leo has quite a long torso. It came up larger than I thought it would.

LOL! this project sounds like some of mine where I find myself adding to both my stash and my needle collection.

I really like the color work. It's a lovely pattern.

Aileen, I believe I downloaded this pattern free from the website; it's called Chandler. It was quick to make; but I remember I used 4 double pointed needles for the sleeves instead of a circular needle as I find them really tricky! Although I used a different yarn (Stylecraft) I have since used the yarn specified in the pattern (Bergere Alaska) and it's really nice so I would recommend it.
