        It has to be a firm yarn. I think it is either from the WI range from a craft store (can't remember the name) or it is Paton's smooth yarn. It is a fabulous pattern but I adapted it a bit.

        Thankyou. They are gorgeous and you can change look by different embroidery and colours. The pattern is excellent though I crochet the top on rather than separately. They get lots of admirers when worn!
