I made this for Lukas, my first grandchild, aged 8 months

    About

    We are coming into winter here in Australia and I wanted a quick pattern for a chunky, warm jacket. I added a pom pom and a moss (seed) stitch pocket on the front. Beautiful, easy design and fabulous soft yarn. The pattern calls for knitted buttons, but I already had these brown buttons which worked really well with the blue. Wish I had done the sleeves a little longer though.

    Other : I made the pom pom simply winding the remaining wool around my fingers.

    Measurements

    6 Months

    Notes: Lukas is a small 8 month old so I did the 6 month size, but foolishly did not lengthen the sleeves. The hoodie fits perfectly in all other measurements. I had wool left over, just enough for a pom-pom.
