    About

    I knit this sweater to test the new Chunky Pots by Paintbox Yarns, and let me tell you, it’s every bit as amazing as I had hoped. The yarn self stripes, which fools my friends into thinking I’m a colour-changing master. I’m going to give this to my cousin Susana, who loves stripes almost as much as I love latte art.

      I'm currently making this sweater in the purple/mauve/burgundy/grey colourway, and find that the stripes are coming out of an even width. Your sweater has much more "random" stripes (very nice!) and I'm wondering if you changed yarn colour occasionally yourself, not waiting for the yarn to change by itself? Incidentally, I'm making the sweater much longer - hip length, in fact, - about 6" longer than the pattern says. I hope it turns out okay!

        Hi Patricia! After playing with a couple of the different pots, I think the stripe width is different in them. Some of them come out more even, like Party Streamers. But this one was more random like you said. Makes it more exciting to work with I think! :) Oooh interesting, I'm sure it will look great!! Good luck!!

      Hi Alice, I love the look of this jumper! The colours are very cool, and the self stripe is very clever! I was wondering if you'd possibly be able to design a plus size jumper just like this. My daughter needs a size 50" and my maths skills are not up to the task of increasing adequately around the neck etc!! Keep up the great work :) Barb
