I notice that there have been a lot of notes about this pattern. I didn’t find any problems with it, but it is challenging to get the best result. Below I detail how I produced a cute little cardigan.
I’m casting on with a crochet hook as this is knitted in one piece from side to side. Getting ready for a car trip or to take to appointments. (It actually proved too difficult to do in the car or at appointments. It does need some concentration to know where you are up to as all the rows are knitted.)
I’ve undone this twice… The short rows & the edge of the knitting are proving tricky for me. I hadn’t even realised that the pattern starts at the bottom edge.
It helped once I had that right & I began to see how the cardigan would come together. I’m leaving yarn at the front while slipping the last stitch knitways so the sides also look like cast on & cast off & this is giving a much nicer finish to the top & bottom.
