    About

In January and early Feb 2017 I was really poorly with pneumonia. I didn't have any energy and couldn't concentrate, so I needed a project that I could crochet up without too much thought and effort. I came up with this very simple design for a blanket, just granny stripes and a border of double crochet and blanket stitch. It was lovely to do, as it started to grow then I could wrap it around my legs and it kept me cosy at the same time! I kept going until it is large enough for a single bed, but it is so cosy I'm using it as a throw on my living room sofa. The cushions I made up from the left over wool, again very simple designs I came up with myself.

What stitch is the cream cushion. Looks like dc but how did you form diamond pattern?

Thank you! I used diamond stitch, you do 3 rows of sc then on the fourth row at regular intervals you do a front post treble crochet around a stitch 4 rows below and at an angle to form the diamond shape.
