    About

I don't often knit for myself and when I do I don't often get to pick out the pattern and yarn. Don't get me wrong my Mother picks out beautiful yarn and projects for me to knit for my daughter and myself. Usually when I go yarn shopping it is for a specific "gift" for my many family members for Christmas or a birthday. Even when I get cash for Christmas I usually spend it on the rest of the family instead of me. My husband has been bothering me to pick out something just of me. So I finally did it. My Christmas money went toward something for me! This is the start of the Betwixt Blanket Cape. I love knitting anything lacy especially shawls but when I saw this on Ravelry I just loved the design. I wanted something I could throw on to keep warm that I was not afraid of getting snagged like the lacy shawls. I am using Plymouth Encore worsted weight in #157 and 256. I love blues and greens so this Dark Teal with a light cream contrast just called my name! I can't wait to wear it!
