With this pattern you can crochet the Hero of Canton himself, Jayne Cobb, from the series Firefly. He comes complete with his gun in a holster, and, of course, his very cunning hat.
The pattern instructions are detailed and easy to follow if you know the basic stitches and techniques used to make amigurumi. They are written in English using US crochet terms, and the list of abbreviations includes the UK alternatives.
You will need the following approximate amounts of DK yarn:
15g light skin colour yarn. 10g dark brown yarn. 10g beige yarn. 10g dark beige yarn. 10g black yarn. 5g yellow yarn. 5g orange yarn. Small amounts of dark orange yarn, mid brown and dark grey yarn for gun, light grey yarn for belt buckle, black embroidery thread or yarn for mouth.
