A quick summer project, with the beautiful hand-dyed yarns of my friend Heike.
I designed this cardigan to showcase her gradient yarns, with the color changing along the mesh contrasting rows.
Finishes with a delicate picot edging. Closes with ties ending with lovely "Heart" motifs.
Worked in one piece from the top down.
Envie d'été, de bleu et de mer. Couleurs d'océan et de corail... Et des petits coeurs au bout des attaches du gilet car l'été c'est aussi fait pour aimer !
Ce sont les magnifiques laines de Heike qui m'ont inspiré ce gilet, afin de montrer le joli dégradé de sa laine "gradient", dont on voit le passage progressif des couleurs le long des rangs ajourés.
