With Aganippe, I began a series of wraps with names from Ancient Greek myths. My inspiration and backdrop for this series is the full-sized replica of the Athenian Parthenon located here in Nashville, TN. It was constructed as part of the state's Centennial Exposition.
Aganippe is a crescent-shaped wrap that is 90 inches (228.6 cm) along the outer curve and 19 inches (48.3 cm) at the widest point. Aganippe was a nymph dwelling in a freshwater spring, and the design immitates the look of a fountain.
The following stitches were used: chain, double crochet, double crochet two together, half double crochet.
