I've been a crocheter since 1967, a quilter since 1991 & a knitter since 1996. I'm a tactile person so I love working with luscious fibers & fabric. My favorite fiber is baby alpaca. Oh, and I knit the old German style - that is I hold the yarn in my left hand & pick the stitches with the needle in my right hand rather than throwing the yarn with my right hand.
