My childhood memories of my grandmothers teaching me to knit were brought back to life when I was expecting my first daughter. I only know how to knit and to purl, however I was determined to make a white lacey sweater. It took me more than several attempts to get this right, as I unraveled it to tediously start again. Most people who know me, realize that I'm a perfectionist, so it seemed normal to me to start over...and over and over again! Finally, I got it right! And I've been knitting ever since. I always challenge myself with new patterns, etc., but have my favourites. Best feeling lately was knitting for my grandson and creating a whole new project:)
A knitted teddy bear! This was both fun and challenging at the same time. My daughter loves it; and it is displayed on her son's dresser! Moving on, I'm looking into making smaller knitted creatures for children at Sick Kids as my grandson visits there for kidney issues. What could be more gratifying?
In the meantime, why not discover what other makers have been up to?
